What We Do
BayWa r.e. is keenly aware of the huge potential that green hydrogen has in the renewable energy transition. We are involved in multiple projects that are dedicated to advancing the role of green hydrogen. Amongst them are SinneWetterstof in the Netherlands, Haute-Saintonge in France, H2BCN in Spain, and our cooperation with hydrogen developer Octopus in the UK.
However, to keep driving forward the energy transition, demand for green hydrogen will further increase. To ensure that production can be ramped up, collaboration is key. With the right structures in place, BayWa r.e. believes that the future implementation of hydrogen solutions across multiple sectors is more than possible.
This would also include energy-intensive industries, for example cement, steel and chemicals, or heavy-duty transport.
