Team Sonnenwagen 2021 – timetable of activity

In spite of the continued challenges posed by Covid, the second half of 2021 is looking to be both a busy and exciting year for Team Sonnenwagen. 

We’re delighted that we’re able to continue to support this brilliant initiative and hope you’ll come with us on this journey. 

Here’s how the next few months are looking so far …

• Aug 3: the new car is unveiled!  Check it out here
• Sep 16: tests and preparation takes place for the 24-hour iLumen European Solar Challenge, Belgium
• Sep 18: iLumen European Solar Challenge begins!
• Oct 9: first group from Team Sonnenwagen arrives in Agadir, Morocco to start testing
• Oct 15: second group from Team Sonnenwagen arrives to support race preparations
• Oct 16: test runs start 
• Oct 21: third and final group from Team Sonnenwagen arrive in Morocco ahead of the race start
• Oct 22: scrutineering takes place for Solar Challenge Morocco 2021
• Oct 23-24: qualifying rounds
• Oct 25: the race begins!
• Oct 29: race ends, and winners are crowned!

We’ll be providing updates on progress, along of course with race results.
