A Sandy Business

What started as a beautiful race day with clear and sunny weather turned into a rather sandy matter - read our wrap-up of Race Day 3.

Day 3 of the World Solar Challenge started well, but then the weather turned!

Our Team Sonnenwagen traveled over 680 km through the Outback, passing Alice Springs and the border between the Northern Territory and South Australia, and keeping up with the Top 3. At the control stop in Kulgera they were still well positioned on 4th place. Then, just when they were starting to end their day and searching for spot to camp for the night, the weather turned on them and they were hit by a massive sand storm! Luckily, nobody was hurt and the car didn't suffer from any damages. A race through the Outback is never boring!
