Blixt, a startup supported by BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures, was honoured with the CleanEquity Monaco 2019 Award on March 15th.

The company won the award in the category “Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Development”. CleanEquity, the conference for sustainable innovation in technology, took place from March 13th to 15th at the Fairmont Monte Carlo hotel.

"This award once again shows that Blixt, with its highly innovative products, is on the right path to decisively shape the digitized energy market of the future," says Ulrich Seitz, Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures about the award. In addition, Charlotta Holmquist, Executive Chairman and Founder of Blixt, was honoured as "No 1 Female Entrepreneur Globally" a few days ago.

Blixt is the first and only company to develop miniature, solid state circuit breakers, creating the spark for an entirely new shift in energy. Turning the conventional mechanical breakers into digital connected devices is a game changer. With its strategic focus, they have huge savings potential and could pave the way for the further expansion of clean energy solutions. CleanEquity was launched in 2008 by Prince Albert of Monaco and has been hosted annually by Innovator Capital since. At the conference, that was opened by Ban Ki-moon, eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations, world-leading technology companies of the next generation present their innovative ideas. In addition to companies, investors, industry and government representatives, end users and international trade media participated in the event.
