For many plant operators, the direct marketing of renewable energies to large energy consumers is an interesting alternative to the conventional EEG feed-in. This is how surplus revenues can be achieved and the added value of the plant increased.

At the same time, the principle of direct marketing serves to better integrate renewable energies into the energy market. Especially the participation of controllable technologies in particular (e.g. biogas plants, geothermal plants, hydroelectric power plants) makes a valuable contribution to grid stabilisation.

Our virtual power plant plays a key role in this. With its help, we can network lots of decentralised producers with our customers, regardless of location. This results in capacities which are comparable to those of real power plants.

BayWa r.e. supports plant operators of all renewable energy types to structure and successfully market their electricity on energy exchanges.

Own Energy Use

More and more companies and interest groups are using green energy produced by themselves to make themselves independent of developments on the energy markets. BayWa r.e. implements custom concepts in this respect. Depending on the situation, it may be a matter of generating one's own supply using local grids or models using public grids.

Selling balancing energy from bioenergy

We take on all tasks necessary for the long-term successful participation on the balancing energy market. These include for example, support during the pre-qualification phase, the joint development of an offer strategy and the structuring of the tendering procedures for the transmission system operators. We control the feed-in depending on the needs of the grid by way of our virtual power plant, allowing plant operators to benefit from attractive additional revenue.

Convert a PV plant and profit

With the amended EEG 2014, mandatory direct marketing is required for all new plants from 100 kWp and up. This is how the state is promoting integration of renewable energies into the energy market. An incentive for direct marketing has also been created for converted existing plants: The EEG stipulates increased remuneration of 0.4 cents per kWh.

Low initial investments through a conversion have already paid off after only a few years and guarantee long-term stable and reliable returns. We ensure a qualified conversion of your PV plant and, if requested, will gladly undertake the direct marketing of the electricity.
