Solar power systems from the DIY store – BayWa r.e. launches sales cooperation with HELLWEG.
Along with an extensive range of products for construction, renovation and decoration for home or garden, customers at the HELLWEG DIY and garden centre in Groß-Umstadt, Hessen have also been able to purchase solar power systems in store since the end of September.
As the exclusive partner of HELLWEG, BayWa r.e. draws upon its nationwide network of specialist partners across Germany to manage the sale and installation of solar power systems, and by doing so brings interested end customers and regional installers together. This pilot project is being advertised by HELLWEG in the store itself and on the website sonne-clever-nutzen.de.
Günter Haug, Managing Director of BayWa r.e., is delighted about the partnership with HELLWEG and commented, "All of the parties involved will benefit from this joint venture – we're able to strengthen our reputation as a full service provider, help installers from our network obtain new orders and guarantee a quick and easy way for end customers to purchase a new solar power system."
To purchase one of these systems, customers must complete a form in the HELLWEG store or online. BayWa r.e. arranges local installers who will conclude the contract with the customer and take care of consultation, sales, delivery and installation of the system. The product range in the HELLWEG DIY and garden centre in Groß-Umstadt includes customisable solar power systems that can be specifically adapted to customer requirements. In order to achieve the greatest possible level of independence from rising energy prices, the systems are equipped with a high performance power storage unit which ensures that most of the power they generate is also used on site. The solar modules come from LG Electronics and the inverters and storage unit are from Fronius.
"Solar power systems optimised for on-site consumption continue to be an attractive proposition for detached or two-family houses. We therefore see a great deal of potential in this kind of partnership and by the end of this year, will have extended our cooperative venture with the HELLWEG Group to four additional DIY and garden centres in Nuremberg, Potsdam, Bad Nenndorf and Bocholt. We are also already planning the implementation of similar products within the BayWa group itself," added Günter Haug.
