BayWa r.e. sells 9.2 megawatt wind farm Selmsdorf III
BayWa r.e. has sold the 9.2 megawatt wind farm Selmsdorf III to KKB Deutschland, a subsidiary of the Swiss utility company Kleinkraftwerk Birseck AG.
Selmsdorf III is situated in a particularly windy coastal location in the district of Nordwestmecklenburg, east of Lübeck. BayWa r.e. was responsible for the project's development and turnkey construction, and commissioned it in December 2013. After Selmsdorf I and II, BayWa r.e. has now sold the last of a total of three wind farm sections, though the company remains in charge of technical and commercial operations management at Selmsdorf III.
Matthias Taft, Managing Director of BayWa r.e.: "With the sale of the third and last section of the Selmsdorf wind farm we are once more demonstrating the success of our business model. The turnkey construction of wind and solar farms and their subsequent sale enables us to generate significant added value."
Antoine Millioud, Managing Director of Kleinkraftwerk Birseck AG: "KKB is successfully continuing its strategy to promote growth and diversification.
