BayWa r.e. supplies photovoltaic modules for 1.8 MW system to Playmobil manufacturers
Pirate ships, farms and castles – the Playmobil pieces created by the Bavarian company Geobra Brandstätter have been a favourite children's toy for generations. The new turnkey-installed 1.8 MW solar PV system that was planned by Greenovative GmbH in Nuremberg was commissioned at the main plant in Dietenhofen. The high quality, German-made polycrystalline modules were obtained by Greenovative from BayWa r.e.
The company was able to supply the 7400 modules (approx.) required in the space of one week. "We are delighted that we were able to install the rooftop system for Playmobil with the support of BayWa r.e. Despite the tight schedule, all deliveries were made on time and the system was completed and commissioned as planned. Since that point, above-average returns are being made and the customer is very satisfied", declared Jochen Schürer, Greenovative GmbH Managing Director, when speaking about the collaboration with BayWa r.e.
"This excellent example of a successful transfer of energy generation towards renewable energy demonstrates that we can be relied upon as a competent and reliable supplier of complete solar PV systems", added BayWa r.e. Managing Director, Günter Haug, on the joint project. "We will continue to expand our market position in PV trade and look forward to further, promising large-scale projects, and would be delighted to work with Greenovative once again in the future", continued Haug. The forecast of the total power generation of the project accounts for around 1.6 million kilowatt hours, 100 % of which will be used in the plant itself.
