Solar PV system "to go": BayWa r.e. enters sales cooperations with Tchibo and Trina Solar
Yesterday Germany saw the launch of a nationwide sales campaign supported by BayWa r.e. together with Tchibo and Trina Solar. As part of this cooperative venture and for the first time, Tchibo offers its customers complete solar PV systems made by the quality supplier Trina Solar, utilising BayWa r.e.'s nationwide installer network. This offer is aimed at end users. The campaign is running until the end of August.
Alongside coffee and various non-food products, Tchibo customers can now also purchase a complete solar PV system. The offer includes two sample systems with output of 5.3 kWp and 9.54 kWp respectively. Systems are supplied including inverter, substructure and essential accessories for mounting on the roof. Apart from the standard models, special plant sizes tailored to customer requirements and optimised for on-site consumption of PV power are also available. Minimum output per system is 3.7 kW. Tchibo will market the complete solar PV systems, both through its sales outlets as well as its web shop.
Prior to purchasing a solar PV system, potential customers complete a questionnaire, either at the Tchibo outlets or online. As Trina Solar's corporation partner, BayWa r.e. will arrange for local installers to conclude the contract with the customer and take care of delivery and installation of the system. Günter Haug, Managing Director of BayWa r.e., comments: "It is our aim in this cooperative venture to find new ways to reach end customers. This way, our installer partners not only benefit from our products and services – new sales channels, such as the cooperation with Tchibo and Trina Solar, will help contractors conclude contracts, particularly with customer segments that they have not previously been able to reach."
