BayWa r.e. realigns German PV wholesale business
BayWa r.e. is realigning its German photovoltaic wholesale business. As of 01/04/2015, all products will be offered by a new company named BayWa r.e. Solar Energy Systems GmbH.
The newly created organisation will focus more on its experience in the market gained over many years, as well as upon its growing expertise in the photovoltaic sector. Simultaneously, BayWa r.e. subsidiaries Creotecc GmbH and Solarmarkt Deutschland will cease trading.
The new name of BayWa r.e. Solar Energy Systems GmbH reflects the broader product palette, the extensive range of services within the German photovoltaic wholesale market, as well as the growing relevance of international customers. In future, BayWa r.e. will offer a wide product spectrum including power storage systems and heat pumps, as well as photovoltaic modules and inverters, plus a full range of installation systems. At the same time, BayWa r.e. will be a powerful operator in the market with a strengthened team and new sales avenues. Calling on the existing network of installers, end customers will increasingly be approached on the subject of power supply utilities and other sales partners, such as construction companies and building material merchants.
"With the realignment of the solar wholesale business in this strengthened form, we follow our conviction that decentralised photovoltaic systems will remain a fixture in the German energy transition", stated Günter Haug, Managing Director of BayWa r.e.
