BayWa r.e. commissions Trierweiler wind farm
As scheduled at the end of last year, BayWa r.e. brought online the new 4.6 megawatt wind farm in Trierweiler, Rhineland-Palatinate. The timely completion of the installation in less than four months ensures the feed-in remuneration will be paid according to the Renewable Energy Sources Act 2012.
The two plants, which were planned and erected by BayWa r.e., have an installed capacity of 4.6 megawatts. The net annual output of the plants equates to about eight million kWh and will be capable of providing power to around 2500 households. The blades of the Enercon E82 turbines are engineered to ensure exceptionally quiet operation. BayWa r.e. primarily contracted work to local companies and therefore a large proportion of the value created by the project has remained in the region.
